MONDAY/DELHI
Morning City Sightseeing of New Delhi, War Memorial
Arch-India Gate, Parliament House, Qutub Minar-built
in 12th century and Humayun’s Tomb. Afternoon
City Sightseeing Tour of Old Delhi, visiting the famous
Red Fort reputed to be the most magnificent palace
in the world, Jamma Masjid-the second largest mosque
in the world, Rajghat where the father of the nation-Mahatma
Gandhi was cremated, and Chandni Chowk-the oldest
busiest bazaar of old Delhi. In the evening you are
invited to attend a Cocktail party to get to know
the tour participants, your hosts and some of the
Indian people. Overnight at your Hotel.

TUESDAY/DELHI-JAIPUR
Morning drive to Jaipur-the rose pink capital of Rajasthan,
which is surrounded on all sides by rugged hills,
and crowned with for ts. Enclosed by embattled walls,
the city was built early in the Eighteenth century.
On arrival in Jaipur transfer to your HOTEL. Afternoon
City Sightseeing Tour of Jaipur visiting the Maharaja’s
City Palace, the Observatory, the Museum, the Ram
Niwas Gardens, and the impressive Palace of Winds
with the intricate facade carved out of pink sandstone.

WEDNESDAY/JAIPUR-AMBER-FATEHPUR SIKRI-AGRA
Morning excursion to Amber, situated atop a hill overlooking
the city was the old capital before Jaipur was built.
The Palace is laid out at different levels on the
hillside and surrounded by a fortress. A ride on a
decorated elephant to ascend the hill to the Palace
is a thrilling experience for every visitor. Afternoon
drive to Agra, the home of the Taj Mahal, enroute
visiting Fatehpur Sikri, Akbar’s Capital, now
a deserted city. On arrival in Agra transfer to your
hotel for overnight.

THURSDAY/AGRA-DELHI
Morning City Sightseeing Tour of Agra, visiting Taj
Mahal built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in 1630
as a memorial to his beloved Queen Mumtaj Mahal. Surely
it is the greatest monument of love and truly one
of the wonders of the world. Also visit Agra Fort-built
by Emperor Akbar, and the tomb of Itmad-ud-Daula built
by Empress Noor Jahan in the memory of her father.
Afternoon drive back to Delhi and on arrival in Delhi,
transfer to your hotel for overnight.

FRIDAY/DELHI-KATHMANDU
Morning depart Delhi by air, in time to board flight
for Kathmandu and on arrival in Kathmandu transfer
to your Hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight
at your hotel.

SATURDAY/KATHMANDU
Morning City Sightseeing Tour for Kathmandu, visiting
the Temple of the living Goddess, Pashupatinath, the
Holiest Hindu Shrine in Nepal, Bodhnath, a Buddhist
Temple, built 2500 years ago, Hanuman Dhoka and the
surrounding atemples and bazaars. Afternoon at leisure.

SUNDAY/KATHMANDU
Morning excursion of Patan-the ancient city-a storehouse
of medieval art and architecture with many Hindu and
Buddist temples, all elaborately carved and ornamented.
It is also Nepal’s city of arts and crafts where
artisans continue their traditional handiwork in wood
and a variety of metals. Afternoon excursion to Bhatgaon,
the City of Devotees and home of medieval art and
architecture,
Overnight at your hotel.

MONDAY/KATHMANDU-PARO
Morning at leisure. Afternoon depart to airport, in
time to board flight for Paro. The flight into the
Himalayas reveals breathtaking views of the great
peaks, taking you right into the Dragon Kindom’s
cloud scraping airstrip at Paro (all 7000 ft.) Your
host will greet you on arrival and drive you through
the beautiful valley of Paro to your hotel. Overnight
at your hotel.

TUESDAY/PARO-THIMPHU
The day begins with a visit to the ruins of Drukgyel
Dozng. This Dzong is of historical importance from
whose ramparts the Bhutanese repelled Tibetan invaders.
On a clear day, the 24,000 ft., white clouded peak
of sacred Chomodhari (Mountain of Goddess) looms overhead.
Afternoon visit Ta Dzong, the National Museum housed
in an ancient watchtower, which has a fine collection
of ancient Thangkha paintings, textiles, weapons and
artifacts. In the evening, a 2 hour drive through
the Paro and thimphu Valleys to the Capital of Bhutan
(alt. 7500 ft.). Enroute visit the Simtokha Dzong
, the oldest fortress of its kind which once guarded
the thimphu Valley, built by Shabdrund Namgyel in
1627. It is now a religious University. Overnight
at your hotel.

FRIDAY/THIMPHU-PARO
Today: sightseeing in Thimphu includes- the visit
to the National Library, which holds a vast collection
of ancient Buddhist manuscripts, the school of Thangkha
painting and the traditional medicine institute, where
centuries old healing arts are still practised. Then
visit Handicrafts Emporium, to see the exquisite artistry
of traditional crafts, textiles and take a stroll
through the streets for a little shopping. Afternoon,
visit the Memorial Chorten dedicated to His Late Majesty,
Kind Jigme Dorji Wangchuck, and take a 15 minute drive
to Deenchholing to witness the Gold and Silver smiths
at work. Then visit the Taschichho Dzong (Fortress
of the Glorious religion) built in 1641 by Shabdrung
Ngawang Namgyel and reconstructed in 1961, by the
Late King, who is regarded as Father of Modern Bhutan.
In the evening drive back to Paro. Overnight at your
hotel.
13. SATURDAY/PARO-DELHI
Early morning drive to airport, in time to board flight
for Delhi and on arrival in Delhi, transfer to your
HOTEL. Rest of the day free for leisure and shopping.
